INSTRUCTIONS
   
Regular maintenance
  • Remove the dirt from the matwell using a brush or a vacuum cleaner after having rolled up the mat.
Periodic maintenance
  • Roll up the mat and remove the dirt accumulated under the mat with a vacuum cleaner or with a dustpan and brush.
  • Coarse, sticky or wet dirt remaining on the mat is removed unsing a hard scrubbing brush in combination with water and a universal detergent.
Thorough maintenance
  • The mat is removed from the matwell for thorough cleaning.
  • Vacuum the matwell and clean with water.
  • Clean the mat with a high-pressure cleaner or with a hard scrubbing brush, in combination with water and a universal detergent. Let the mat dry during a few hours before placing it back in the mat well.
 
 
MAINTENANCE PRODUCTS
     

Does not react to

  Alcohol, aldehydes, alkalis, ethers, ketones, soaps and synthetic detergents, (sea)water, solvents used for dry cleaning.
     

Resistant to

  Alkalis.
     
Reacts to   HCI, H2SO4, oxalic acid and bleaching agents (i.e. not resistant to bleaching agent containing 12.5% active chloride (as usually available on the market)
     
Not resistant to   Concentrated formic acid, phenol compounds, CaCl2, concentrated HNO3, H2SO4, HCI, hot CaCl2 solutions, benzyl alcohol, unhardened cement.
Swelling agents: acetic acid, adipine acid, aniline, benzene sulphon acid, benzoic acid, boric acid, chloroacetic acid, formis acid, glycol, lactic acid, lithium bromide, metacresol, p-hydroxy benzoic acid, phenol, phosphoric acid, ZnCl2
   

Remove the dirt accumulated under the mat with a vacuum cleaner or with a dustpan and brush.

Clean the mat with a high-pressure cleaner, a garden hose or a hard scrubbing brush in combination with water and a universal detergent. Let dry completely.

 

SPECIFICATIONS
     

Description:

 




A rollable entrance mat consisting of single or double aluminium supporting profiles and a walking surface composed of drying rubber strips and/or scraping nylon brushes with or without scraping profiles. PVC connecting pieces keep the profiles and the strips and/or brushes in place.
     
Applications:

  These mats are suitable for indoor use and for use in covered outdoor areas. They are highly recommended for average traffic entrance areas (less than 100 persons per hour).
     
Brushes:


  UV-stabilised brushes made of nylon 6.6. The discontinuous brushes are secured in a PVC profile that is embedded in an aluminium profile. Height of the brushes: 7 mm. The continuous brushes are pressed together in an aluminium profile. Height ofthe brushes: 5 mm or 10 mm.
     
Profiles:   The profiles have a width of 18 mm or 35 mm.
     
Rubber strips:


  The rubber strips are 15 mm wide. All rubber strips are new (no recycled material).
The fact that the fibres are continuous guarantees the strength and the long life of the mat. The rubber has a shore A hardness of 71 and a density of 1,23 T/m3. Textile is grey or coloured.
     
PVC connecting pieces:   The black connecting strips consist of rigid PVC.
     
Dimensions and finish:



  The total mat height is 18 mm or 25 mm. The mat is made to size in the factory. Practically all shapes are possible. Available in open construction (4 mm) with single or double rubber strips and with or without brushes.
For more demanding environments, this mat can be combined with aluminium scraping profiles.
     
Installation:

  The mats can be placed in a matwell with a depth of 20 mm or 25 mm or directly on the floor; in that case, a ramping profile around the edges of the mat is recommended.
     
Warranty:
  5 years for structural defects in case of normal use (in accordance with the warranty conditions).
     
Tests:


 

 

  This mat meets the standards of the following tests carried out by the University of Gent:
  • Fire and smoke tests: B S1
  • Colourfastness tests: class 6 or 7 (ISO 105 B02 (1994))
  • Wronz (wear) tests: samples available for inspection
  • Moisture absorption tests: according to test report 02-785 A
